another year older, another year wiser

it's finally your birthday! i have been looking forward to this for weeks, much to your dismay, and the fact that it's finally here feels unreal. this is the first birthday that i get to do more than just send a text or a card. this is the first birthday that i get to take a piece of ownership of in ensuring that you have a special day. granted, it doesn't need to be your birthday for you to have a special day. i've come to find that you having good days is more important to me than me having good days, and that i'd move heaven and hell to make sure that at least a piece of every day is good to you. because you deserve that. you deserve the world, and hence why i'm going to insist in spoiling you on this the day of your birth.

it's a big deal. the mortality fact of getting older sucks. any birthday after twenty one kind of loses its luster, but today is a huge deal. without today there would be no you, and the idea of a world without you in it breaks my heart. because you have become my entire world over the span of these past few months. i look to you for a smile, a laugh, for passion, for companionship, for company, for happiness, for pleasure, for guidance, and for a million other things. i wake up looking forward to spending the day with you and i look forward to retiring from the world into our space, our room, our bed together. those are my favorite moments. not just because i get to kiss you, touch you, get naked and beg for your dick to fill my ass up...but because it's a safety and a comfort and a state of relaxed that only we can achieve together. it's a victory of survival of another day and a promise of love and closeness until we have to wake up and do it all over again.

i can't imagine my life without you, and i don't want to ever find out what it's like without you. anything before you is a life i've forgotten. i love you. everything about you. because everything about you makes up you, and you're all i ever want. i'm grateful for you and for your love and time that you dedicate to me. i'm happy that you continue to chose me day in and day out. you deserve an amazing day. i hope you know how special you are and how incredible you are. most of all i hope you know how special you are to me. so i'm gonna make this a big deal and i'm going to wish you happy birthday a million times today, because i'm so happy you exist.

i love that we had a picnic hike date. the older i get the more i see how much i associate peace with nature. the fact that you share similar feelings in the great outdoors is great, because that means we get to have many more times of indulgence of it whether that be here locally in california or abroad. hopefully this portable hammock set up will give us more reason to stay in nature longer (not to mention spoon and make out while out there).

your birthday cake...that's sparker-less. but just know i wanted to put like five of them in there and light them all on fire to let the whole fucking world know that it's your birthday. i wanted this year's cake theme to focus on a passion you've been allowing yourself to spend more time on and cultivating so heavily on. even before you've dived into music production you always had some kind of instrument nearby or in your hand. so music cake seemed fitting. one tier is chocolate and one is vanilla.

a new board for an old passion of yours that i had no idea was a thing in life to do. we always talk about traveling the world to new places, and i think adding sandboarding in egypt would be a hell of an addition to our travel list. i also got two bags of wax for this shit...i don't know the difference but i hope you do.

i know a thing or two about guitars. not as much as a professional, and maybe not even as much as you. but i do know that this bad boy can be used for a variety of sounds which means i'll be able to hopefully hear you play more.
